A natural disaster is a major adverse event resulting from natural processes of the Earth; examples are floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, and other geologic processes.
Hi Teuila I agree that these are major events that create ongoing problems We seem to have all of them happening around the Pacific. One thing I noticed with the Samoan Tsunami was that the easiest thing to rebuild might be the buildings. The coral seemed to take longer to recover and the families that lost loved ones will remember them forever.
Thank you for the definition of a natural disaster. Can you write anything about the tsunami that happened in Samoa?
